Phlebotomy Training Coordinator

As a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator at Emerson Health, you will play a crucial role in training new phlebotomists to follow proper lab protocol and procedure when drawing blood. You will assist in maintaining the training manual and communicate changes in protocol and procedure to all phlebotomists. Additionally, you will assist the Client Service Manager and CP Coordinator in handling daily operational issues and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop individual training schedules for new phlebotomists
Coordinate with experienced phlebotomists to provide training in outpatient areas, on the floors, and in the Emergency Department
Develop and maintain a training syllabus
Maintain a current checklist of required phlebotomy tasks as mandated by changing procedures and protocol
Ensure all training reports and checklists are filed in the appropriate phlebotomist folders
Monitor training techniques and progress
Meet with phlebotomist trainers/trainees weekly to provide training guidance/assistance
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of a Phlebotomy Training Course preferred
Two or more years of phlebotomy experience
Previous training or teaching experience preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidential information
Computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
