Resident Instructor

Community Residences is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team. As a Resident Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Individualized Plans: Work with the Interdisciplinary Team to create and implement individualized plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Provide Support and Guidance: Offer emotional support and guidance to clients, helping them to develop essential life skills and independence.
- Monitor and Report Changes: Regularly monitor clients' medical, physical, and behavioral changes, reporting any concerns to the Supervisor, RN Program Coordinator, or Program Director.
- Administer Medication: Once certified, administer medication to clients at prescribed times, adhering to agency policy and DDS regulatory standards.
- Assist with Daily Living Tasks: Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, household management, and personal hygiene.
- Participate in Training and Development: Participate in training opportunities, including in-service training, staff meetings, and conferences, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of clients' information, adhering to CRI's confidentiality policy.
- Transport Clients: Safely transport clients to various community-based outings, adhering to health and safety measures outlined in their support plans.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a Bachelor's degree in a related Human Services area preferred.
- Experience in Human Services: At least two years of experience in the field of Human Services is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record are required.
Work Schedule:
Saturday-Sunday: 7am-3pm, Monday: 3pm-11pm, 24 hours available.
