Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each client.
  2. Provide direct support and supervision to clients, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  4. Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or medical status to the supervisor or program coordinator.
  5. Administer medication to clients as prescribed, following agency policy and regulatory standards.
  6. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  7. Conduct self in a professional manner when interacting with clients, colleagues, and community members.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in human services, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to lift and transfer 70-75 pounds, with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and evenings.
