Position: Risk Assessment Specialist

Overview:
This role focuses on evaluating and underwriting various insurance products, specifically in the realm of Business Travel Accident, Out of Country Medical, Basic and Voluntary AD&D, and Participant Accident offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite both new and renewal insurance policies, ensuring competitive pricing, comprehensive coverage, and favorable terms and conditions.
  • Adhere to established underwriting authority, guidelines, and directives to maintain underwriting integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including underwriting, actuarial, product development, and legal departments.
  • Contribute to the achievement of regional financial objectives and support the renewal retention strategy by managing the renewal process efficiently.
  • Engage with the Business Development Manager and regional operations to meet new business targets.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with insurance producers.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data and documentation within repository systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of two years of underwriting experience, ideally within the Accident and Health sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record in assessing complex underwriting risks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability for personal work and outcomes.
  • Proficient organizational and negotiation skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
