Job Overview

Community Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to support the execution of our Risk Management framework and strategy throughout the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with department leadership to drive internal risk management activities, including identification and mitigation of risk, development of internal audit plans, conducting audits, and working with departments on remediation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen CBH's Risk Management program by supporting the agency's risk assessment and risk management activities.
  • Maintain awareness of current regulatory and industry trends impacting risk management principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform analysis of risk trends and data discrepancies, effectively communicating analysis output.
  • Design audit objectives and procedures for scheduled and unscheduled internal audits, reviews, and special projects.
  • Communicate audit findings to audited departments and senior leadership to ensure understanding of matters identified.
  • Assist in the development of corrective action plans to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor risk management processes, including risk registers.
  • Assist in compiling Risk Management materials and dashboards to report to leadership.
  • Evolving the risk culture across the organization.
  • Assist in conducting risk management general education and customized training.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
  • Certification in Risk Management and/or Certified Internal Auditor highly desirable.
  • 3+ years' experience with Managed Care organization or health plans or 3+ years' experience in health care risk management, compliance auditing, and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high comfort level with public speaking and training, knowledge of Medicaid regulations and requirements, and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
