We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operator to join our team at Della Infotech. As a key member of our distillery operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient production of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Ensure that all production processes are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor and control the production process to ensure that it is running within established parameters.
- Quality Control: Identify and correct any deviations from standard process parameters, and take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Emergency Response: React promptly and effectively to abnormal conditions, breakdowns, and emergencies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production processes and inventory levels.
- Compliance: Ensure that all production activities are carried out in accordance with Diageo USVI standards and Code of Business Conduct (COBC) policies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve distillery operations and maintain product quality to standard.
- Operational Goals: Meet or exceed operational goals and site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Yield Optimization: Optimize yield and minimize waste on assigned unit(s).
- Physical Demands: Traverse up to 8 flights of stairs at least twice a shift to complete unit inspection and/or sampling, and lift 50lb ingredient bags in repetitive motion multiple times per shift.
- Inspections: Complete walk about inspections across the distillery at least twice a shift or as needed.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks as needed to meet production demands.
- Experience: A minimum of two years' relevant process operating experience and/or the equivalent process technical training with demonstrated achievements.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated teamwork capability and can-do attitude.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated problem solving skills and commitment to safety.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High-Pressure Environment: Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pace, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) or Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5S, Lean Manufacturing Methods, and ISO 9000 Standards.
- Education: Minimum 18 years of age, High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, and four years relevant experience working in any of the following processes: Fermentation, Distillation, Evaporation, Water Treatment, Fire Tube Boilers, Turbine, and/or Heat Recovery Steam Generator.
- Certification: Associates Degree in Process Technology or equivalent certification.
