The Statler is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our front and back of house. This is a key role that requires strong leadership, motivational, and people skills to ensure the appearance, presentation, and guest experience are exceptional.

This is a people-focused role that requires the ability to efficiently and accurately handle issues with guests and team members. The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and cultivate their team to drive revenue and profits.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and maximum guest satisfaction
  • Deliver exceptional service and lead by example to set the tone for the team
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints and concerns
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors to maintain high standards
  • Organize and supervise shifts to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Appraise staff performance and provide constructive feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Manage restaurant image and suggest ways to improve it to enhance the guest experience
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses to inform business decisions
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events to drive sales and revenue
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience through targeted marketing and advertising efforts
  • Train new and current employees on proper service practices to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Implement policies and protocols to maintain future restaurant operations and ensure consistency

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, or similar role
  • Proven guest service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and wine knowledge to inform and educate guests and staff
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills to drive team performance
  • Acute financial management skills to control costs and improve efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or culinary schooling is valued
