Role Summary: The Art Handling Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the secure handling of artworks throughout the packing, transit, and installation processes. This position requires strong leadership skills and effective communication as the specialist will serve as a key point of contact between clients and company management during projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handle and transport artworks, employing appropriate wrapping, packing, and crating techniques.
- Oversee the installation and de-installation of artworks at various sites, utilizing the correct tools and methods.
- Manage the handling of decorative arts and furniture, ensuring safe packing and transport.
- Load and unload vehicles to guarantee the secure transit of items.
- Organize and plan the loading of trucks to maximize safety during transportation.
- Conduct thorough inspection reports for diverse art objects.
- Lead project teams, providing direction and support throughout the process.
- Act as a liaison between clients and management on-site.
- Develop strategic plans for projects, especially in the absence of senior staff.
