- Ensures all instruments are properly cleaned and disinfected before sterilization.
- Inventory Management
- Manages and maintains accurate inventory of medical instruments and equipment.
- Orders and replenishes supplies as needed.
- Quality Control
- Ensures all instruments and equipment meet quality standards.
- Identifies and reports any defects or issues with instruments or equipment.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Works effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of medical instruments and equipment.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Experience
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Certifications
- Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Sterile Processing/Distribution Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
