Key Responsibilities
  • Instrument Preparation
    • Prepares and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
    • Ensures all instruments are properly cleaned and disinfected before sterilization.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manages and maintains accurate inventory of medical instruments and equipment.
    • Orders and replenishes supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensures all instruments and equipment meet quality standards.
    • Identifies and reports any defects or issues with instruments or equipment.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Works effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of medical instruments and equipment.
    • Communicates effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Certifications
    • Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Sterile Processing/Distribution Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
