We are currently seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor for our facility located in Newtown, PA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Plant Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our facility, ensuring efficiency and safety in all processes.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the daily functions of a quarry producing approximately 1,500,000 tons per year of crushed stone and a Hot Mix Asphalt plant with a capacity of around 100,000 tons per year.
  • Implementing and maintaining Heidelberg Materials' safety protocols in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Supervising team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating production schedules and activities to meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identifying and resolving operational challenges to minimize costs and prevent delays.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Assuming the Plant Manager's responsibilities in their absence.


It is essential for the incumbent to adhere to all company compliance policies, including the Code of Business Conduct and anti-corruption policies, and to participate in required training sessions.

As a supervisor, you will be expected to enforce compliance among your team and report any non-compliance incidents.


QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A bachelor's degree in a mining-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in quarry operations and familiarity with crushing and processing equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A solid understanding of government regulations affecting safety practices.
  • The capability to analyze problems, gather data, and formulate valid conclusions.
  • The ability to provide clear and concise instructions professionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Requirements:


This role involves various physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing. Candidates must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures and heights, lift and carry weights of up to 50-75 lbs, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
