Senior Building Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, repair, and diagnose building infrastructure systems and equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, electrical, gas, air, vacuum, plumbing, building automation, fire detection/suppression, grounds maintenance, and building electronic systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including belt replacement, lubrication, filter changing, and pressure washing inside of air handling equipment, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to emergency and repair calls, investigate and solve issues, and communicate effectively with others using our work order system.
  • Work with on-call maintenance staff as necessary and may be required to work with others in planning and scheduling for modifications and repairs to systems with minimal disruption to the mission of our organization while meeting fiscal constraints.
  • Be alert to all aspects of equipment when responding to customer requests and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • May be required to work weekends and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent human relations skills to interact with staff, visitors, and patients.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or a two-year degree from a technical college related to a Building Infrastructure System maintenance program.
  • Three years of field service experience related to the skills associated with Building Infrastructure Systems.
  • Four years of military experience in a related field will be considered in lieu of the educational and field service experience requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience working with Computers and various building control systems, as well as Electrical or Plumbing License.
