Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Culinary Platform Attendant to join our team at Case Hall. As a key member of our dining operations, you will be responsible for preparing and supplying various food items for our salad bars, cold and hot food stations, and to-order service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and prepare food items for service, including salad bars, cold and hot food stations, and to-order service.
  • Assist cooks in combining ingredients, portioning, and serving from prepared to-order.
  • Maintain proper food handling and storage techniques to eliminate waste and spoilage.
  • Work within a diverse workforce and directly with customers to provide excellent service.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of full-time experience in food preparation and use of kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and ability to read weights and measures.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions.
  • Knowledge of various methods of food preparation, including sautéing, display cooking, deep frying, grilling, and steaming.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of satisfactory experience as a worker in a food-related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to take initiative and be highly flexible in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This position is located in Case Hall and requires occasional lifting of 26 to 75 pounds.
