Job Title: Project Engineer

About the Position

The Project Engineer will play a vital role in the technical execution of initiatives that are critical to the success of both clients and GadellNet. This position is essential in creating and maintaining client trust. The successful candidate will create dynamic operational and technology-focused service lines to implement solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Execution: Lead the technical execution of infrastructure projects, including research, discovery, and planning, technical configuration, implementation, and execution of infrastructure solutions, and documentation of infrastructure projects.
  • Project Management Support: Assist the Project Manager with supporting all aspects of infrastructure projects, guiding internal technical resources, facilitating client requirements, gathering and conducting data analysis and research, training and mentoring junior team members, and implementing identified opportunities directly alongside GadellNet teams and client management.
  • Business Understanding: Develop a deep business understanding and process knowledge of technical aspects of projects in conjunction with overall project services department standards.
  • Recommendations and Change Management: Develop recommendations for the client and manage change while minimizing organizational disruption.
Essential Skills:
  • Intermediate level understanding of and experience with Active Directory, including general troubleshooting, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services, and Trusts.
  • Proficient with VoIP, including installation and system configuration.
  • Intermediate networking experience, including switching, routing, firewalls, and virtual networking.
  • Intermediate experience with VMware and Hyper-V, including building and configuring virtual servers, clustering, and virtual networking.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including email migrations, Entra ID management and integration, experience with Intune and Autopilot.
Nice to Have:
  • At least 2 years of experience working with SharePoint (implementation, configuration, integrations, and administration).
  • Experience deploying resources in Microsoft Azure, including servers, VPN connectivity, and backups.
