Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Project Manager to join our team. As a Water Resources Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex water resource projects, performing advanced engineering design tasks, and developing and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced engineering design tasks on complex water resource projects.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support design and assessment of surface water systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop and review hydrologic and hydraulic models and perform simulations.
  • Develop detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, calculations, and reports, along with permit application support.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on projects.
  • Provide mentoring, training, and oversight for staff.
  • Manage water resource related projects and tasks.
  • Pursue client management and business development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering (or related field).
  • Professional Engineer licensed in Tennessee or able to obtain a TN license.
  • 6+ years of water resources engineering experience.
  • Experience mentoring and managing staff.
Preferred Capabilities:
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills with a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, technical writing, and in-person.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Experience with hydrologic and open-channel hydraulics processes and expertise in modeling these processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM HydroCAD, or other water resources software.
  • Proficiency in Unsteady Flow and 2D Hydraulic Modeling preferred, but not required.
