Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Birdon America, Inc. in Denver, CO. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing program financials, including project accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project accounting controls, including Work Breakdown Structure/Cost Codes in ERP, review and direct correction of job coding errors, and manage job budgets in ERP.
  • Process program invoices and interface directly with government customers to support collection efforts.
  • Manage change order pricing workbook and support repricing efforts on Program contract modifications.
  • Support ad hoc analysis, including commercial pricing analysis, utilization studies, and change order pricing.
  • Participate in program planning and status meetings to ensure financial support is in place.
  • Participate in effort to create, monitor, and maintain estimates to complete (ETCs) and estimates at completion (EACs) of various contract line-item numbers (CLINs).
  • Support continued process improvement, including in Program financial reporting and invoicing.
  • Participate in monthly financial reporting and job cost discussions with Program and senior leadership.
  • Understand contract structures and delivery obligations.
  • Analyze and report financial performance variances of actuals to budget and forecast.
  • Identify and maintain risk and opportunity ledger; assist with mitigation and recovery plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related required.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience; Defense Contracting experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate with key stakeholders on complex program issues.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building and maintaining financial models.
  • Project accounting experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Government contracting (preferred).
