CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $77,000 to $87,000, based on the location and experience of the RN.
This compensation package reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job DescriptionAs an RN Admit Specialist at Amedisys Inc., you will be responsible for performing patient start of care comprehensive assessments, evaluating development, and implementing plans of care.
You will complete OASIS assessments timely and accurately, providing skilled nursing care to patients in accordance with the plan of care and agency policies.
Additionally, you will help achieve and maintain continuity of patient care by communicating information with individual staff, physicians, family members, and community resources.
You will also initiate appropriate referrals when indicated, promote and maintain patient health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures, and assist patients in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must possess a current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
You should have one year of clinical experience as an RN, or be approved by the VP of Clinical if less than one year of clinical experience.
A current CPR certification, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are also required.
