Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team as a Lead MRI Technologist. This role will be responsible for performing complex MRI procedures, leading a team of MRI Technologists, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex MRI procedures, including common and special exams, to produce high-quality images and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Lead a team of MRI Technologists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team is functioning at its best.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
  • Current certification as an MRI Technologist (CMRT or ARRT-MR).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with at least 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
