Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maintenance Team Member to join our team at SWJ TECHNOLOGY, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our metal stamping dies and presses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on metal stamping dies and presses to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Use precision measurement tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to inspect and measure die components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with die maintenance and repair, working closely with other team members to identify and resolve problems.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and operate standard machine shop equipment, including lathes and grinders.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed to repair or maintain dies and presses.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in die maintenance and repair, preferably in an automotive progressive and draw dies environment.
  • Strong understanding of die maintenance and repair principles, including safety protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a basic industrial physical, drug screen, audiogram, and tetanus shot.
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting, requiring sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
