The Paint Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance related to designated machinery. This role encompasses the development and upkeep of maintenance documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess issues related to assigned machinery and propose effective solutions.
2. Implement action plans aimed at minimizing maintenance downtime.
3. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all environmental regulations.
4. Support the maintenance team in tracking essential maintenance metrics such as budget adherence, downtime management, workforce allocation, preventive maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and computerized maintenance systems.
5. Oversee the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of maintenance supplies, including tools and consumables.
6. Supervise and regulate the purchasing and utilization of spare parts.
7. Execute the maintenance department's strategic plan to meet annual operational objectives.
8. Comply with all organizational policies, including emergency protocols.
9. Manage both internal and external contractors effectively.
10. Develop specifications and technical drawings for new machinery or components utilizing various CAD software.
11. Revise specifications and drawings following the completion of equipment enhancement projects.
12. Assist Group Leaders in training team members on new machinery and technologies.
13. Foster a collaborative service center atmosphere.
14. Address employee concerns and manage conflicts with professionalism.
15. Maintain a strong customer service orientation and a willingness to assist others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
- Experience with CAD software is required.
- Knowledge of PLC programming (preferably A/B or Siemens) is essential.
- Background in automation, design, installation, and repair of machinery is necessary.
- Ability to interpret schematics and specifications for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
