Position Overview:

The Assembly Engineering Specialist is responsible for executing engineering tasks and duties that support the production processes across various assembly sectors, including Trim, Door, Final, and Chassis, along with interconnected areas such as Wheel Alignment, Off Line Testing, Shower, Repair, and Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the installation of production equipment.
  • Create training materials and programs for team members in collaboration with Group Leaders.
  • Provide support to production lines and team members.
  • Conduct line balancing activities for new models and manage take-up/down processes.
  • Facilitate a continuous improvement initiative to drive corporate success.
  • Design and implement necessary tools, production aids, and assistive devices for production.
  • Evaluate and execute new model launches, including equipment, tooling, process documentation, and work instructions.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts in the production environment to ensure product quality, including the development of short- and long-term solutions.
  • Develop and monitor countermeasures aligned with annual corporate goals.
  • Analyze trend data to create and implement countermeasures for existing production issues using available indicators.
  • Establish and maintain a proactive ergonomics program within the production environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the automotive sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong sense of self-responsibility and accountability.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
  • Capability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities within set timeframes.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in making recommendations and executing essential job functions that impact business operations.

Specialized Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with SAP systems is preferred.
