Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Orange County. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching fitness classes, developing fitness routines, and promoting programs to members and participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach fitness classes and develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participants.
  • Implement fitness programs based on national standards and branch YMCA program guidelines.
  • Promote programs to members and participants, and record participant counts.
  • Distribute and collect program evaluations, and report incidents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, and follow safety standards and policies.
Requirements
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Specific certifications required for certain formats (Yoga, Pilates, Les Mills, Zumba, Cycle).
  • SGX Spartan Coach Certification preferred.
  • 2 years of Group Exercise Instruction experience.
