Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee all plant operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective business plans, manage budgets, and lead a team of professionals to achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and control profits/loss, business plans, and budget restrictions
  • Implement cost-effective systems for capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, replacing or adjusting as necessary
  • Provide leadership and training to achieve company objectives
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
  • Maintain and enforce OSHA and other safety regulations
  • Assume primary responsibility for government regulation compliance, including EPA
  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
Supervisory Responsibilities
The General Manager will manage the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department, overseeing a mix of direct and matrix reports. This role requires effective leadership, staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. The General Manager will also monitor staffing levels and report on utilization and deployment of human resources.

Education and Experience
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus, but not required
