Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Hi-Speed Industrial Service. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for scheduling and managing the day-to-day activities of technical field service personnel, as well as managing relationships with outside contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of field service representatives to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Optimize call schedules to minimize expense and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with other coordinators to optimize labor utilization and ensure seamless communication.
  • Monitor online GPS technician management software to ensure timely arrival and departure, and coordinate with customers and additional staff as needed.
  • Work with service technicians to source parts and coordinate expediting to job sites.
  • Provide daily service call updates and tracking information to major contracted customers as requested.
  • Work with the administrative team to maintain CRM service call dispatching and tracking system.
  • Execute daily processes to ensure quality control and timely assignment of work orders and job data to contract drivers.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure information is executed timely and correctly.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in the cartage transportation industry or service industry, with a focus on operations and dispatch.
  • Works under general supervision, with a certain degree of creativity and latitude expected.
  • Solid communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Highly computer literate, with basic to intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and recall past information.
  • Familiarity with geography of the region in which operations are conducted.

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced office environment with no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, and the like. The majority of time will be spent communicating with management, customers, and technicians by telephone, email, and other business technology.
