Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior/Principal Scientist to lead efforts in characterizing nucleic acid function, localization, and responses in immune cells. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment as part of a highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and troubleshoot functional T cell assays
  • Utilize a deep understanding of immune cell biology to screen nucleic acid function at both the cellular and molecular level
  • Employ a deep understanding of CAR function and immune cell fitness to advance cell therapy projects in vitro and in vivo
  • Proficient at analysis of nucleic acid function (Flow-cytometry, Incucyte, microscopy, qPCR, HiBit/luciferase, Cre/lox, etc)
  • Track record of solid managerial experience and scientific leadership
  • Effectively communicate experimental methods and findings in both oral and written formats
  • Maintain a workload of multiple concurrent projects and rapidly adjust experimental priorities to align with company priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, Virology, or related field with 3-6 years of industry experience
  • Broad experience in cellular biology, immunology, and virology, particularly as relevant for the functionalization of nucleic acids in the context of immune cells
  • Experience with CAR-T design and assay development is a bonus: cancer cell killing, receptor density characterization, etc
  • Enthusiasm for working at the bench
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in developing new skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and rapidly growing biotech environment
