About the RoleThe Director of Staff Development will be responsible for directing educational programs for the nursing department, ensuring that all employees receive comprehensive training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs to ensure the knowledge and skills of personnel.
- Conduct job-specific orientation for Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for facility staff.
- Conduct C.N.A. training programs as required by the facility.
- Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions.
- Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Must have at least one year of Nursing Supervisor experience in a long-term care facility.
- Must have one year of experience in staff education.
- Must have experience in supervision, principles, and practices of teaching, etc.
