Job Title: Sales Director

As a Sales Director at Maverick Transport Inc., you will lead our sales team to continued success, providing leadership, development, and training to new recruits. You will be a great salesperson who has seen much success in your career, passing on that knowledge to others.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive revenue through coaching and developing new and existing sales reps
  • Interview and train entry-level sales reps
  • Assist sales reps with account strategies to increase revenue
  • Achieve satisfactory net revenue results and market share in relation to preset standards and industry trends
  • Hold the team accountable for daily activity and results
  • Ensure employees maintain the highest level of integrity
  • Coordinate the allocation of support staff to accounts with high volumes of business
  • Monitor sales reports, act as needed, and communicate trends and market conditions to senior leadership
  • Work with the Training department to help maintain and continuously enhance sales training programs
Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years prior experience working for a non-asset freight brokerage in a sales capacity preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of sales management experience, preferably leading a team of 5+
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and motivate others
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for our customers
  • Strong negotiation skills - persuasiveness, aggressiveness, confidence
  • Self-driven with a desire to succeed
  • Ability to think creatively to find solutions
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, transportation and logistics or similar field is a plus
