District Service Manager

The District Service Manager at Smart Care Equipment Solutions partners with the Field Service Manager to drive business growth and profitability within a district. This role involves managing a team of Service Technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and ensuring service delivery excellence through direct collaboration with Service Technicians, Dispatchers, and Customers.
Key responsibilities include workforce management, reviewing service delivery metrics, identifying root causes of customer disputes, addressing operating expense inefficiencies, and supporting Technician development opportunities. As a leader in the District, the District Service Manager helps recruit, select, coach, motivate, and manage performance for their team.
Additionally, this role requires managing daily workforce flow, scheduling issues, vacation schedules, and emergency service schedules for weekends and evenings. The District Service Manager must also make adjustments in accordance with work rules and state law, meet weekly payroll deadlines, and execute and manage all safety initiatives in the field.
Other key responsibilities include participating in new technician onboarding, implementing and executing a district training plan, managing technician performance through coaching and direction, and reviewing district performance with the Field Service Manager to identify needed improvements to achieve sales and profitability budgets.
The District Service Manager will also work with the Parts Department on parts issues, shipping, and delivery, proactively manage customer relationships to effectively solve issues and demonstrate value, and actively participate in service vehicle inventories and implement action plans for compliance issues with District Manager direction.
Requirements for this role include an Associate degree and two years of Smart Care or people management experience, or a combination of Smart Care experience, people management, or education experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree. Commercial kitchen equipment repair, hospitality/hotel, restaurant, or business service industry experience is preferred.
Smart Care Equipment Solutions is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment. Our comprehensive mechanical services include hot side cooking equipment, stand-alone refrigeration, specialty coffee and beverage, complex rack refrigeration, and HVAC.
