Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at Dallas Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Stronger Connections Grant, overseeing all activities related to the implementation of the program at each identified school site, and collaborating with mental health clinicians and managers to ensure the successful delivery of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Mental Health Services Leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the Stronger Connections Grant.
  • Oversee all activities related to the implementation of the Stronger Connections program at each identified school site.
  • Monitor and implement the cell phone pouches program at the identified school site as outlined in the Stronger Connections Grant.
  • Provide staff training on trauma-informed practices to create a Safe Schools environment for learning.
  • Collaborate with mental health clinicians and managers to ensure the successful delivery of mental health services at each identified campus site.
  • Work with the campus principal, school administration, and district personnel to communicate and progress monitor the goals, needs, and outcomes of the Stronger Connections program to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage the funding budget associated with the Stronger Connections Grant and submit required state, local, and district reports in a timely manner.
  • Organize strategic planning meetings with grant managers to ensure progress monitoring of the Stronger Connections program.
  • Submit programmatic and financial reports as necessary for successful reporting of activities associated with the Stronger Connections grant.
  • Coordinate, prepare for, and participate in site visits and/or desk audits conducted by District leaders and grant personnel, as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a mental health or counseling-related field.
  • Prior experience working with mental health or counseling-related programs.
  • Prior experience working as a program manager at the district level.
  • Knowledge and experience working in an educational/campus setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with campus principals and administration, teachers, mental health clinicians, school teams and district community partners.
  • Administrative skills in monitoring, implementing, and evaluating programs.
  • Capacity to write reports and documents requiring precision, accuracy, readability, and editorial correctness.
  • Flexible with character, personality, and professional behavior that exhibits ongoing growth and excellence.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and have own transportation.
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral language skills; (Bilingual preferred)
  • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups and audiences.
  • Demonstrates excellent technical skills including social media, website, and computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteWord, Microsoft, and PowerPoint, Google docs, video conferencing/virtual meeting, and other software programs.
