Senior CT Technologist

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Lead Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to take charge of our CT imaging services.
In this role, you will oversee and guide technologists within the CT department, ensuring a patient-focused approach while adhering to professional standards and delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help patients navigate their imaging journey, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
CT Imaging Duties (80-85%):
- Conduct patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure.
- Prepare and explain CT imaging procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for optimal imaging.
- Perform routine and advanced CT imaging on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating conditions, while maintaining patient communication throughout.
- Adjust CT scanning parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
- Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Adhere strictly to physician orders and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with ACR accreditation standards and maintain the necessary toolkit.
- Regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Team Leadership Responsibilities (10-15%):
- Assist in the recruitment process for new team members.
- Coordinate training and onboarding for new hires.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and conduct one-on-one sessions with associates.
- Oversee timecard approvals and manage scheduling.
- Participate in performance evaluations and support associate development.
- Develop staff schedules to accommodate planned time off while ensuring adequate coverage.
- Evaluate team workflows and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure team members are informed about company policies and procedures.
- Support associates in achieving the highest levels of patient satisfaction.
- Lead special projects or committees as assigned.
- Manage departmental responsibilities in the absence of the manager or peers.
Additional Responsibilities (5%):
Complete other tasks as assigned to support the department's operations.
