The Program Manager plays a crucial role in delivering professional assistance in fulfilling Department of Defense (DoD) project specifications, encompassing financial management, scheduling, and technological advancements throughout the duration of a designated program.
This position is also accountable for aligning the strategic objectives of the project with the overarching goals of the business sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Possess a strong understanding of managing cross-functional teams (Installation, Integration, Logistics, Finance, Acquisition, and Configuration Management) to effectively oversee resources such as budget, personnel, facilities, and equipment.
Facilitate efficient business operations, achieve results within specified timelines, prioritize competing demands, and swiftly adapt to urgent requirements.
Conduct data gathering and financial assessments of project and cost information for integration into data requests and budgetary documentation.
Lead all stages of programs from initiation to completion.Serve as the primary liaison for clients regarding program activities, guiding program review meetings with clients to evaluate cost, timeline, and technical performance.
Set key milestones and track compliance with master plans and schedules, identifying program challenges and devising solutions.Design and implement methods and procedures for executing programs, oversee and coordinate program activities, and manage personnel responsible for specific functions or program phases.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 3 years of experience in project management.
A bachelor's degree in project management, business, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in applying and executing project management methodologies, best practices, and processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite projects, particularly Microsoft Project.
Exceptional planning, time management, and organizational capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, adaptable to various work styles, environments, and locations.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Active Secret DoD Clearance is mandatory.
TRAVEL
Travel is not expected.
