Job Title: Lead Embedded Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at Black Box VR. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing embedded systems that meet the high standards of our cutting-edge electromechanical fitness equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop embedded systems that integrate electrical hardware, software, and motion control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance the electronic systems and overall performance of our equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and refine designs to meet performance, reliability, and manufacturing standards.
  • Develop and implement firmware and software drivers to enable OS-hardware communication.
  • Ensure seamless integration of embedded software with the overall system and external components.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Embedded Systems, Motion Control, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a cross-functional engineering role, with expertise in embedded system design, electrical hardware, and software development.
  • Strong foundation in designing, developing, and implementing embedded systems, coupled with hands-on experience in PCB design, motion control, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with Virtual Reality (VR) systems is a strong plus.
Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Motion Control: Identifying motor/controller hardware for specific applications and developing control algorithms for precise motion control in systems involving motors and actuators.
  • Specialized Applications: Expertise in industry-specific requirements such as safety-critical systems or low-power, high-reliability designs in automotive, medical, or industrial automation.
  • Hardware Design: Expertise in PCB design, layout, and integration of electronic components (e.g., microcontrollers, sensors, communication modules).
  • Software Development: Proficient in writing low-level software using C#, C++, or assembly for direct hardware interaction.
