The Role

We are seeking an Embedded System Test Engineer to join our Distribution Automation HW/FW Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in automating the testing of our hardware and firmware devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing automated testing solutions for embedded systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create fully functional systems
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with embedded system designs
  • Work with electrical, firmware, back-end software, mechanical, and system test engineers on layer interface and system level testing development
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software experience
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C++/Java/C# etc.) on multiple computing platforms (such as Windows and Linux)
  • Considerable knowledge of automated testing of embedded designs
  • Proponent of test-driven development and test automation
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and teamwork to contribute in a small team environment
Desired Experience
  • Experience using source code control
  • Experience with machine-to-machine/Internet of Things applications
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a standard office environment with standard office equipment. The work environment is free from any disagreeable elements. The standard weekly job hours are 40 hours.
