Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Construction

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Essel. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with the possibility of conversion to a direct hire position if open to relocation to the New England area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication between the Field operations and corporate office, observing and reporting day-to-day operations back to the main office.
  • Bridge the gap between field and office, ensuring seamless coordination of plan changes, schedule changes, and other project-related activities.
  • Order and manage construction materials, including concrete, pumps, rebar, shoring, post-tension materials, and accessories.
  • Maintain open communication channels between the field crew, general contractor, and main office, ensuring harmony and cooperation among all parties.
  • Document any deviations in scope, including change orders, and ensure accurate records of project progress, changes, and issues.
  • Attend job site meetings and prepare regular project status reports, highlighting key milestones and challenges.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, with proficiency in project management software (MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with construction software like AutoCad and BlueBeam is a plus, as is the ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with PMP certification and OSHA certification.
