Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
  • Minimum of six months experience with IBM or compatible systems, or college coursework in MS Word.
  • Experience in alphabetical and numerical filing systems.
  • Familiarity with printers, photocopiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute and proficient in 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to communicate in Yup'ik is preferred.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • High level of accuracy and reliability is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for regular interaction with medical staff.
  • Must meet monthly deadlines to facilitate timely reimbursement.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
  • Capability to write basic correspondence.
  • Adept at presenting information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to clients, customers, and colleagues.
