Key Responsibilities:

The Career and Community Education division at Cecil College is seeking part-time instructors to lead a basic electrical course. We are in search of dedicated and knowledgeable educators to cover the following topics:

  • Fundamental principles of electrical wiring, including electrical theory, Ohm's law, and residential service types.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application in ensuring code compliance.
  • Expertise in the tools, materials, and techniques involved in basic wiring, as well as in the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Additional Duties:
  • Overseeing and guiding students in the proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Assessing and providing constructive feedback on student performance to foster improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records and administrative documentation, along with administering assessments to evaluate student progress and training effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid electrician's license at the Master or Journeyman level.
  • Experience in teaching adult learners at varying skill levels is essential.
  • Assistance in developing curriculum is preferred.
  • Availability for evening classes is required.
  • Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
