Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical failures, working closely with the Central Engineering Group to upgrade equipment and improve production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot high-speed manufacturing equipment and perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Group on projects to upgrade production equipment and improve efficiency
  • Verify that inspection units are functioning properly and that machines are operating within tolerance
  • Oversee the safety of personnel and machinery in the department
  • Perform scheduled repairs, preventative maintenance, and improve machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Set up production equipment and conduct quality checks prior to line start-up
  • Participate in project performance team meetings to provide ideas and methods for unit/company performance improvement
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

This position requires gowning procedures for a controlled environment and working around high-speed machinery. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with close attention to safety is essential. The position also requires the use of eye protection and hearing protection in high-noise areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this role
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail are necessary for making precise adjustments and troubleshooting equipment
  • Considerable standing, reaching, pulling, and stooping are required for this position
Qualifications/Background Experiences
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, with a strong background in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
  • AA degree in a relevant field, with a focus on mechanical systems and electronics
  • Blue print/schematic reading and communication skills are essential for this role
