Job Summary

Indiana State University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Athletic Equipment Manager. This role is responsible for the overall operation of the equipment room, including purchasing, inventory control, and management of athletic equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with NCAA guidelines and regulations, as well as coordinating equipment transportation for road trips and away events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and inventory control of athletic equipment
  • Management of equipment room operations, including maintenance and collection of equipment
  • Coordination of equipment transportation for road trips and away events
  • Ensuring compliance with NCAA guidelines and regulations
  • Supervising student workers and student managers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in athletic equipment management or a related field
  • Knowledge of NCAA athletic equipment fitting and safety standards
  • Knowledge of NCAA guidelines and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience in athletic equipment management or a related field
  • Athletic Equipment Managers Association certification
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work nights and weekends to accommodate travel schedules. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with coaches and athletic department staff members.
