Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance team while also executing preventative, routine, and urgent repairs across all residential properties, vehicles, and associated equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring that operations adhere to safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts or supervises minor plumbing tasks, including repairs on toilets, sinks, and showers.
  • Addresses emergency repair requests during off-hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Regularly replaces furnace filters, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate water temperatures in residential settings on a monthly basis.
  • Performs general carpentry tasks as needed and oversees carpentry work.
  • Safely executes minor electrical repairs while ensuring quality standards.
  • Reports any suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • Keeps accurate records of medical and safety incidents.
  • Responds promptly to medical and safety concerns to facilitate proper care.
  • Ensures all documentation is thorough and complete.
  • Implements universal precautions in personal care and first aid practices.
  • Monitors maintenance vehicle condition and reports any needs to the supervisor.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the maintenance vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Tracks mileage and fuel usage accurately.
  • Receives and prioritizes maintenance requests, coordinating with available personnel.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations across all sites.
  • Develops a work schedule and prioritizes tasks for the maintenance team.
  • Guarantees timely completion of maintenance requests.
  • Conducts regular quality assessments of completed maintenance work.
  • Arranges for larger maintenance projects to be handled by external professionals as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; relevant technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of three years in property maintenance, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities.
  • Proficient knowledge in painting, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance tools.
  • Familiar with repair techniques for various building components.
  • Flexible availability for scheduled work hours.
