The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is a key member of the healthcare team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Manage daily operations, including staffing, supply ordering/inventory, daily rounds, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree required and a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse or a current Compact State RN license required.
- At least 3 years of acute care nursing experience required, 2 years of leadership experience in a related field preferred.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with nearly all Microsoft Office products.
- Proficient oral and written skills.
