Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our Municipal Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic management systems for county and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze municipal subdivision and land development applications, traffic impact and circulation studies, and zoning ordinances.
  • Assist in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
  • Conduct capital improvement planning, including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions.
  • Attend municipal meetings and interact closely with municipal staff, elected officials, and local citizens.
  • Analyze and interpret demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
  • Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
  • Monitor construction site progress and perform other duties as per contract documents.
  • Represent the company as an on-site project representative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • EIT, FE, or PE (not required, but preferred).
  • Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoads).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's License.
