Job Title: Author Account Manager

As an Author Account Manager at Kendall Hunt Publishing, you will be responsible for managing sales and relationships with assigned authors. This includes up-selling to existing authors to maximize sales, traveling to visit assigned authors or attending conventions to promote Kendall Hunt products, and initiating and managing revision and reprint processes for assigned authors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales and relationships with assigned authors
  • Travel to visit assigned authors or attend conventions
  • Initiate and manage revision and reprint processes
  • Coordinate contracts and production processes
  • Create schedules and communicate with authors
  • Generate leads for outside sales through bookstore contacts and author referrals
  • Proactively work to gain referrals for other potential authors and adopters
  • Implement successful sales strategies to increase sales and profits on assigned accounts

Requirements:

  • Top performer with a track record of going above and beyond minimum expectations
  • Competitive, highly organized, and self-driven individual
  • Comfortable working from a home office
  • Experience in sales from any industry that will translate into success with Kendall Hunt Publishing
  • Bachelor's Degree
