We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Extern PRN Behavioral Health to join our team at Retreat Doctors' Hospital. As a Nurse Extern PRN Behavioral Health, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the nursing staff in providing patient care and support under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
- Work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan by performing direct and indirect patient care.
- Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care.
- Assist with patient mobility by regularly turning, positioning, and ambulating patients.
- Translate complex medical terminology to ensure patients and families understand their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
- Ability to perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
- One year of completed nursing school is preferred.
