About the RoleAs a Nurse Extern PRN Surgical Care Unit, you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and assist with providing patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
- Working closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan by performing direct and indirect patient care.
- Obtaining and recording initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care.
- Assisting with patient mobility by regularly turning, positioning, and ambulating patients.
- Translating complex medical terminology to ensure patients and families understand their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
- To have completed one year of nursing school, preferably.
