Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Weld Training Coordinator to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for coordinating the logistical support required for delivering training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of training and development programs.
  • Prepare instructional materials, including participant guides, instructor guides, presentations, tests, and job aids.
  • Assist with needs analysis, audience analysis, and task analysis.
  • Conduct basic external research to identify and evaluate training and development programs available through vendors and educational institutions.
  • Gather data for cost-benefit analysis of alternative instructional material development solutions.
  • Maintain records and reports on individual and group training progress using common tools and systems.
  • Implement evaluation plans and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Gather data and information required for improvement recommendations.
  • Administer learning and development activities, instructor-led events, and e-learning, including communication, scheduling events, facilitators, employees, vendors, and facilities, and coordinating materials and conference room logistics.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships, responding courteously, accurately, and in a timely fashion to training and development inquiries.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.
  • Desire to further education by obtaining one or more of the following certifications: Certified Welding Inspector, Certified Welding Educator, Certified Welder, or Other - as pertinent to job functions.
