Job Summary

The Program Director is a key leadership position at Akua Behavioral Health, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our behavioral health programs. This role requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and business administration skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care and achieving business performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set by state and federal authorities, Joint Commission, and payers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, hospitals, and industry organizations to drive business growth and development.
  • Monitor key program metrics, including census, length of stay, sessions, attendance, and discharges, to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance business performance.
  • Lead and manage a team of clinical and administrative staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and achieve business performance goals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration, business administration, or psychology.
  • 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong clinical expertise and business administration skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and achieving business performance goals.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach, train, and develop staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
