Title Researcher

We are seeking a skilled Title Abstractor to join our team at Ark Title Group. As a Title Abstractor, you will play a critical role in the real estate transaction process by conducting thorough research and analysis of property records.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive title searches using various databases, including VCAP/Odyssey, ROD, SC Judicial, and additional resources to retrieve relevant documents such as deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, and easements.
- Analyze title documents and identify any discrepancies, defects, or encumbrances that may affect the property's ownership or marketability.
- Prepare detailed title reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations for resolving any issues discovered during the abstracting process.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and co-workers to address title-related concerns and facilitate smooth transaction closings.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting title research and real estate transactions to ensure compliance and best practices.
- 2 years of experience as a title abstractor or similar role.
- Proficiency in conducting title searches using online databases, county records, and other resources.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to accurately identify and assess title issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines.
- Familiarity with real estate laws, regulations, and industry standards governing title research and property transactions.
