Responsibilities

As a Parking Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Verifying shift transactions against cashier's money on hand during bank drops.
  • Responding to customer service issues and resolving them on the spot.
  • Maintaining order in assigned lots.
  • Maintaining relationships with police departments and security personnel.
  • Supervising employees and serving as a liaison between employees and upper management.
  • Counting vehicles on location throughout the shift, as needed.
  • Maintaining a neat and clean appearance and arriving and remaining in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
  • Reporting any unknown, observed, or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to managers.
  • Troubleshooting minor issues with revenue control equipment.
  • Completing daily inspections of the facility and other required documentation.
  • Assisting with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards.
  • Substituting for any position, if necessary.
  • Having a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • To be at least 18 years old.
  • To have a minimal high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cashier or parking experience is preferred but not required.
  • To be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • To be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions.
  • To be able to effectively respond positively to customer problems or complaints.
  • To be able to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • To possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands to handle cash and equipment.
  • Working outside in varying weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, humid).
  • Occasionally sitting, climbing, or balancing.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
