About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Infrastructure Architect to join our Digital Technology team. As a key member of our IT Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our global infrastructure organization and technology.

Your primary responsibilities will include acting as the technical lead on creating and maintaining IT roadmaps, serving as a trusted advisor for business and leadership, and providing day-to-day technical support for infrastructure faults, availability, and performance.

You will be involved in driving the local and global architecture strategy, with a focus on deploying standardized, scalable, and secure platforms across our global infrastructure. This role will be part of our global infrastructure team, establishing fit-for-purpose solutions and navigating the organization across IT, OT, and QA to ensure common goals and alignment.

As a Technical Infrastructure Architect, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the development of our global infrastructure organization and technology
  • Lead the establishment and alignment of roadmaps across IT & OT
  • Advise business and leadership on technical matters, up to C-level management
  • Design and build a modern, flexible, and mature service delivery model
  • Champion new technologies, such as open-source and cloud-native activities
  • Provide technical delivery of projects and solutions
  • Offer 3rd-level technical support
  • Participate in industry forums to stay up-to-date on current trends and promote our approach
  • Act as a mentor and trusted advisor to the service team, helping to mature technical depth within the team

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Technical lead on the creation and maintenance of IT roadmaps and joint strategies for mission-critical infrastructure, aligned with global stakeholders
  • Resident in-house consultant, improving collaboration and alignment between IT, OT, and QA, covering the entire Purdue model
  • Trusted advisor for business and leadership, inputting into IT strategies at a global level
  • Local ownership of CyberSecurity capabilities and roadmap across IT, aligned with industry standards
  • Reducing technical debt
  • Ensuring infrastructure compliance with GxP, and all relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements
  • Providing day-to-day technical support for infrastructure faults, availability, and performance
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Excellent technical cloud and infrastructure skills
  • Strong knowledge of backup solutions, DR, and data integrity
  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Strong solution design and documentation skills
  • Good understanding of IT security methodologies
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments with little supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in a senior Infrastructure support role.

The US salary range for this position is $163,000 to $230,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
