Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Billing Specialist to join our team at PeopleShare. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for processing time worked for temporary associates from multiple sources and entering data into the payroll and billing software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and verify weekly hours worked from various timekeeping sources.
  • Manipulate data in Excel for import into payroll system.
  • Enter data manually into Edge or other systems.
  • Verify accuracy of entries, calculate and process pay.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including error reports and custom customer reports.
  • Create customer invoices via Excel and verify for accuracy.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve issues related to invoices.
  • Participate in answering office phone calls and handle work verifications.
  • Develop processes to solve problems per customer request.
  • Stay up-to-date with Avionte software and applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills in written and verbal forms.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or difficult issues with confidence and composure.
  • Data entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Persistence and dedication to complete assigned tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Good basic math skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
