About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Billing Specialist to join our team at PeopleShare. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for processing time worked for temporary associates from multiple sources and entering data into our payroll and billing software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timekeeping and Data Entry: Gather weekly hours worked from various timekeeping sources, manipulate data via Excel for import into our payroll system, and manually enter data into Edge or other systems.
  • Payroll Processing: Verify accuracy of entries, calculate and process pay, and prepare various weekly and monthly reports such as error reports and custom customer reports as requested.
  • Customer Service: Create customer invoices via Excel per customer requirements, verify for accuracy, and send to customers. Answer customer questions about invoices and resolve issues as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Participate in answering office phone calls and handle work verifications. Create processes to solve problems per customer request.
  • Software and Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of Avionte software and applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Requirements
  • Communication and Organization: Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms, and demonstrate strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Data Entry and Problem-Solving: Display persistence and dedication to complete all assigned tasks, and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate level using Excel and Word tools, and experience using other standard office equipment.
  • Customer Service and Teamwork: Demonstrate strong customer service orientation, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and assertive but respectful in communications with clients and team.
